My number was 121 in that awfuly itchy black and orange sponge we had to wear. I believe I might have been the youngest life guard to work JB since I started about 3 and 1/2 months after my 17th birthday. I remember working for Frank Russell and Pete Mesbauer(sp) sorry Pete. Harry Barr was the capt at the time. I do remember many hours in the old JBH playing ship, captn, and crew, anybody else. Armas Nekton was a Lieutenant during the 1930 season I believe. I want to see if anyone has more information on Armas and his tenure with JBLC. Any info would be great.
